Our story

High school was where we first met - me, cracking jokes in the back row, and Jackie, sitting up front, actually trying to learn. We didn’t talk back then, but a few years later, Instagram connected us again, and I sent the first message. And well, here we are today.

Our first date was a simple lunch at an Italian restaurant, but it was when Jackie helped herself to my strawberry cheesecake that I knew. That’s when I realized she was the one. Sometimes the best relationships start with the best desserts.

If you could only eat one meal together for the rest of your lives, what would it be?

We’d choose a big bowl of ramen! With an extra poached egg. Iykyk.

What's your favorite holiday to celebrate together?

Christmas! Especially in the West Village.

If you could build your dream house, what would be the one quirky feature you’d absolutely have to include?

Jackie: Definitely a sound proof karaoke room.
Piero: An indoor soccer court.

What’s the story behind the proposal?

After our first date at an Italian restaurant, I knew the perfect spot to propose - a charming Greenwich Village restaurant called Palma. On a December evening, I asked if she wanted to try this new place I'd heard about. Following the hostess inside, she was taken aback by the private dining room, glowing with Christmas lights. In that magical moment, I got down on one knee - and the rest, as they say, is history. Palma has been our special place ever since.
